Leeds Trinity Christian Union Mission Report

We had a fruitful Mission Week. Here is a little summary I put together from our Mission Week:

"After the success of our Mission Week in March, we were eager to have a second one this calendar year. We were approached by a charitable organisation (MOET) who saw the success of our last Mission Week and wanted to know if they could help us run a second one this year. We of course agreed and it ran amazingly!

We are so thankful to all the support we get from the Student's Union and the University to be able to run these events. Also, the support we get from students on campus is something we always fail to comprehend. We had students from the other CUs, which we are in a cluster with, come and support us and help in any ways they could. One student from Leeds College of Music came and performed some music and spoken word for us at our 'Acoustic and Testimony Evening' on the Tuesday night.

The week looked at the theme of 'who loves me?', asking students to answer this question for themselves throughout the week.

We were able to run an evening event each day as well as events throughout the day during the week, all with free food! Our usual CU evening meeting had a mammoth attendance! We had our usual 20 or so from CU and about 12 guests.

We have also been running 'Lunchbars'. These include a short talk of about 10-15 minutes, with time for questions and discussions - as well as a free lunch which is provided! We have wanted to run these in the past, but things occurred which meant it was unable for them to run. In our Mission Week we ran two of these Lunchbar events, and due to the success of them (about 20 people at each event), we are hoping to run them more regularly throughout the year.

We put out 'follow-up' slips at every event, finding out how people heard about CU and whether they would be interested in hearing about other events we have coming up and whether they would like to hear more about CU as a whole. We had many of these filled out and handed in at the end of our events and we will be contacting them to let them know what we are up to soon. We are hoping to see some of these faces at events we are running next year.

This Mission Week has also spurred us to want to run a Mission Week again in March!"

Thank you so much for all your the support of other in Horsforth. We were able to use your money to provide free food at every event for students and staff on campus. We appreciate your prayers also.
